On Monday, despite weather warnings across Europe, I made my way to Belgium to see one of our key European publishing partners. I took the train from London to Brussels, then continued my journey through the blizzard by car.
After an hour of driving slowly through mountains and valleys blanketed by snow, I began to worry that I might be late for my meeting. My destination proved elusive; each chicane and hairpin bend revealing only another lonely, icy road. I began to panic. But then – as if from nowhere – the heavenly sounds of Boney M’s ‘Daddy Cool’ drifted out of the radio, and lo, I reached my destination. Thank you Boney M, for guiding me home.
